2019 Annual Scholarship Winners Announcement

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2019 Luciana C. Rausch, D.M.D. Annual Scholarships.

We also want to share big news: after advertising our scholarship in our office (1336 West Main St., Suite 2B, Waterbury, CT 06708), two of our patients decided to contribute with $250 for our Scholarship Fund! That means that we are going to offer 3 (three) scholarships instead of 2 (two). Our dear patients and friends Kenneth and Karen Antin donated $250 and Dr. Rausch will also add $250 to that amount, meaning that this year we will award three (3) students with $500 each!

The quality of the submissions was outstanding. The personal statements and the letters of recommendation we received were truly inspiring.

Choosing the winners was a very hard task, and we wish we could award all of them! Our team thanks all participants for their wonderful essays and wishes them the best of luck in their bright and promising futures!

2019 Annual Scholarship Rules and Requirements

Rausch Dental, a provider of quality dental care in the Greater Waterbury area, is proud to announce its 1st Annual Scholarship Award, sponsored by Dr. Luciana C. Rausch.

The Award serves as a way to support students who are pursuing educational programs in the medical field, dentistry and/or oral health.

This scholarship was created by Dr. Luciana Rausch as an expression of her deep gratitude for the support and encouragement she received in the pursuit of her degree in the field of dentistry. As a provider of quality dental care in a thriving practice, she is in a position to give back to the community and help other students achieve their dreams.

Purpose: The Luciana C. Rausch, D.M.D. Annual Scholarship will provide two $500 awards annually to students who plan on pursuing a career or are already enrolled in an accredited U.S. program in the dental or medical field. The award will go to students who attend programs such as Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, and Dental Medicine/Medicine. The award funds are intended to help toward tuition fees and/or book expenses.

Application Period: The application period runs from April 1st to April 30th, 2019.

Requisite Criteria:

Applicants must be residents of the Greater Waterbury Area (Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oxford, Prospect, Southbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, Woodbury), in the State of Connecticut.
Students must be enrolled as an undergraduate or a graduate student in an U.S. accredited institution. Students in the final year of high school may only apply if they have been accepted into a qualifying program for the following fall.
Applicants must be able to meet Dr. Rausch for recognition of the award on the date to be arranged.

Procedures:

To ensure the application is reviewed and processed accurately, all of the following guidelines must be met and included with the application:

A completed scholarship application form. Go to our website www.drrauschfamilydental.com and print the form.
A 1(one) page essay explaining why we should choose the candidate to be awarded the scholarship.
A copy of the applicant’s most recent available academic transcript, official or unofficial.
All requested information must be submitted in one complete package via e-mail to Scholarship.Rausch@gmail.com. All attachments must be scanned or on a PDF format.

Selection Process: Once entries are received, they will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee (composed by Dr. Rausch and members are chosen by her). All decisions made by the Scholarship Committee are deemed final, including the option not to award a scholarship. All submissions become the property of Rausch Dental, LLC.

Scholarships will be announced on our website and at our Dental Office by May 15th, 2019. Winners will be notified by phone and/or e-mail.
